Every family has patterns. Some of them hurt.

Maybe every conversation with your teen becomes a standoff. Maybe siblings can't be in the same room. Maybe a divorce, remarriage or loss has left everyone walking on eggshells.

In family therapy, the family itself is the client. Instead of looking for who's to blame, we look at the patterns everyone is caught in, and we change them together.

Families I work with are often facing

  • Constant conflict or tension at home
  • A teen or child who has pulled away or is acting out
  • Blending two families after remarriage
  • Separation, divorce, or co-parenting strain
  • Grief, illness, or another major life change
  • Adult children and parents working to repair a relationship

How I work with families

I use an attachment-centered, trauma-informed approach. Sessions may include the whole family, a few members, or a mix over time, depending on what helps most.

We slow down the reactive moments, help each person feel heard, and practice new ways of responding to each other. The goal is a home where people feel safe enough to disagree and still stay connected.
